A true getaway from the rat race, Clearwater Lodge is only accessed by boat or float plane. The last place you will see cars and trucks is at the landing where we pick you up. And if you really want remote we have our outpost cabins where you can easily forget what day it is!!!

Although it may take many hours to get to the International Falls/Fort Frances border crossing you can be relieved to know it's less than an hour from the border crossing to Sportsmans Landing where we pick you up by boat.
8. Definitely the chance for a trophy big game animal during our hunts.
This is the area where trophy bucks, black bears and wolves live. The dryden buck was just such an indicator. This years largest buck was a 300lb 14 point whitetail deer.
9. Some of the most famous fisherman come up here to fish.
Hey they would not come if it didn't promise to be good. Some fellas have even caught record fish here only to report them as caught on Lake of the Woods, so that no one would come and crowd their fishing hole. Television shows have been recorded here only to have the lake not named to keep it secret. And it soon may be your secret too.
10. Our cabins are all very unique and are like a trip back in time. They have all the modern amenities(such as electricity, fridge, stove etc) but by being built back in the early 30's have preserved the feeling of those early fish camps, with the hand built log cabins of the time. One of our guests summed it up as inspiring to admire the hand crafted quality and said "If these walls could talk of the tales of fish & game that have been through here." Most of our guests wish they could take our cabins home with them, but are happy to return year after year.

A print of the 2007 Penn catalog Cover will be available and sold as a Serialized set with the Anniversary Reel and coin. The Anniversary reel/coin and print will be limited to 500 pieces, with only the first 250 being sold as Sets. These are all gone. Now only available if a private collector such as myself has one for sale.
They originally sold for $999.99. I have seen them go as high as $1500.00 in the last few months. I will sell mine--and it is perfect, never even been out of the presentation case--for $900.00 or best reasonable offer.

You will be picked up via private van at Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose and will be driven directly to Quepos to your final resting point for the week at Villas Tranquilas. You can take time to settle in then head to one of the great restaurants or bars to have a meal or just a drink and think about the experience you are about to receive.
For the next week what you have in store for you is, 3 Full days offshore fishing where you will be fighting the fish of a lifetime. You will be aboard of the Mar 1 with Captain Oscar doing battle with huge marlin, huge numbers of sail fish, Dorado, tuna and the list goes on. The crew of the Mar1 will take care in making sure all fish kept will be cleaned and fillet for you daily, which works out really good with the rancho with grill back at Villas Tranquillas.
Each of our 16 town homes are 2 bed room and accommodates up to 6 guests. As you cross the thatch covered Veranda and enter your town home, the main floor offers large windows and sliding doors for your viewing enjoyment with rattan roll down shades for privacy. A contemporary, open concept-designed living-dining area greets you upon entry. The large, open kitchen includes cabinetry imported from Spain, granite counter tops and dining bar, full size Stainless Steel appliances, and is fully equipped for casual dining or socializing.
A complete bathroom with large shower is conveniently situated on the main floor as well.
The open living area is designed for relaxation and conversation. TV includes cable service (Including ESPN affiliate, CBS, NBC, and TBS) and CD/DVD. Wireless internet service is also provided. The sofa converts into a comfortable sofa-bed accommodating another 2 guests. All furnishings are contemporary with style and comfort in mind.
Parking is available in front of each town home. All units have wheelchair accessibility to the villa, ground floor of the town home, covered rancho in the center of the villas and the swimming pool area
